NVKSD College of Education, Attoor conducted UGC Seminar on Inclusive Education for Transgenders: Issues and Challenges on 16/12/2016 and 17/12/2016. The programme was inaugurated by Ms. Sheethal syam, a transgender and activist. The key note address was done by Ms.Kalki Subramaniam another transgender director and activist, Sahodari foundation Society. This was followed by paper presentation sessions. Ms. Anju Krishna. K.S, Assistant Professor NSS Training College, Ottappalam presented a paper on 'Empowerment of transgenders'. The session was chaired by Ms. Bindu Gowri, Assistant Professor of NVKSD College of Education. On the second day also there were several resource persons conducted the session. Priya Babu handled one session and shared her experiences. In the valedictory session Dr. C.P.Sreekantan Nair was the resource person. Vote of thanks was given by Dr.BC.Sobha, Principal of the college.
